Oliver 1800C slipping

I was moving round bails of hay when I notices the tractor started to slip while driving it then I found a hose leaking oil, where do you add and check the oil level for the transmission and what oil would I use?

Trans oil wouldn't cause it to slip. Does it have hydrapower two speed? The dipstick for that is between the bell housing and cowl on the left side. Use Dex/Merc auto trans fluid. That unit only holds four quarts. You fill it through that same hole where the dipstick is.

That's not the transmission, it's a separate unit. Check the fluid in it. It won't really slip if it's low, it'll just shift down to under drive by itself. Nothing in the transmission can slip. It's all gear drive. If filling the hydrapower up to the proper level doesn't fix it, then the clutch is either worn or has oil on it.

Fix the leak first. Then order your owner's manual and read it. It will answer this and many other questions. Well worth 40 bucks or so it costs.
