Drone over canola

A bit of video here over my yard. Shot yesterday. Canola still blooming pretty good. In spite of heat, drought, hail and wind, it looks surprisingly good.

Canola July 23.

(quoted from post at 02:50:06 07/25/21) Mostly all Canola this year ?
I am pretty much split between wheat and canola as my usual rotation. And I'd say the rest of the neighbourhood is much the same. Although $20 a bushel canola might have enticed some to plant canola on canola stubble it is a poor agronomic practice.

(quoted from post at 16:09:22 07/25/21) Just curious, why is canola following canola a bad crop rotation??
It encourages disease and pests. Used to be the experts recommended no more than once every three years but they have shortened that quite a bit. Also it encourages herbicide resistant weeds if you use the same herbicide group on the same crop year after year.

What frequency does the drone use for its controls? I probably should know seeing as I'm an electronics engineer, but being long retired I've sorta lost interest in finding out.

Nice video by the way.

They mention 2.4 and 5.8 ghz in the specs which might make more sense to you than it does to me. Big thick manual with mostly foreign languages in it. I've never found the manual of much use when I needed to know something.
