How to make a gleaner 13ft black flex head ridgid

Im trying to figure out how to make my 13ft head ridgid. I noticed some chain underneath. Do I have to chain it up. Any information helps.

On my JD 220 flex head I have to bolt the flex sickle up to straight combine wheat.

Chain it up as high as it'll go to cut grain yes.

On the gleaner I had, there were clamps on the cutterbar supports. Just two flat plates with 2 bolts. You loosened them up, and slid them forward on the arm, while pushing the cutterbar up, then tightened the bolts.

This is what all my Gleaners had the A2, E, F, both F2's. Two straps and two bolts per spring. It works is all I can say.

Mine probably does too, but I didn't lay under there long enough to figure it out. I had some short chains I made up for gate chains. I grabbed them and chained it up.
