If you listen closely he says farming has been going on for that many years. He gives the year that case started in Racine.

It was a good film. My Great Grandparents threshed grain with a flail. My Grandfather started out cutting his grain with a cradle, and made sheves by hand, and eventually bought a binder. A thresher man would come around the circuit and thresh. You had to store the sheves in the barn till the thresher came to your farm. The threshing circuit wasnt usually complete until Christmas.

Thank you for sharing! I wonder who the narrator was in the video? His voice is in a lot of old farm equipment videos . Always enjoyed the parade style band adding to the excitement and fanfare of the new at the time technology.
