Sometimes when riding whatever gear I am in starts blinking on the screen and I cant up or downshift .I have to stop ,turn off the bike then turn the key to the on position then rock it while shifting back to neutral.I was told it might be a level indicator.has anyone had this problem ?

The following will only solve your problem 99% of the time;
On the right hand side at the front of the engine down low is your shift motor assembly.
Remove it (no the oil is not going to come pouring out).
Remove the cover to reveal the gearhead assembly, clean this out with some solvent, lightly oil (not grease as this is what causes the problem in the first place)
While everything is out replace the angle sensor for good measure (not expensive)
Bolt it back on and enjoy your ride.
