Our first farm stock tractor pull was in April, where there was a very good turn-out. The next one is this coming Saturday. Not very many scheduled in our area.
Here is a pic of a friend pulling his hand crank styled JD A. I think he got a first and a second place in his weight class.

I hope we have a tractor pull again this year. I took third with my 3020 against tractors that take a minute or so to spool up and then then black smoke rolls like a locomotive case and international I made 400$ after a 35$ entry fee

I like farm stock.

Not a fan of hot rods, etc.

Hoping to find a farm stock pull in my area this summer.

That's quite a 3020.

When did they start allowing duals in tractor pull events?

Dean

Im not sure on the duals I showed up with them on and nobody said em off . Tractor weighs 9700 pounds

$400 for third place--WOW--your part of the USA pays ALOT more than ours---Tee

My Dad with his 3020 back in the late 60s--Notice the step-on sled

I remember when farm stock had a cable with a flag attached next to the course...you could not pass the flag. Pick the wrong gear and you had to throttle down to stay behind the flag but then you were out of your power band to throttle back up when the wheels started slipping. Those 2 bangers you could count each pop at the end with the front end off the ground.

The pullers that I pull with voted against pulling for money. Once the money starts its no longer for fun and bragging rights. As far as the duals are concerned it depends on what rules the pulling club has. If this was the first pull in your area the promoters were most likely a slack with any rules just to get folks interested in pulling. For our club we will let just about any tractor pull just so no one goes away disappointed. The only rule that we really to enforce is wheelie bars. You can show up once with a stock tractor and pull in the slow speed classes but next time you show up with that tractor it will need to have wheelie bars.

I use to enjoy watching the farm stock pull. Slowly it turned into a modified antique pull. Now it's gone. Watching the stock pull the Oliver 88's always took first place. I found kinda interesting. Once they had a three way tie for 1st and had a pull off for 1st,2nd and 3rd. All Oliver Super 88 diesels.

Lots and lots of trucks come to pull but only maybe 10 tractors came . They have been doing the pull for quite a few years now . Thats a nice 3020 never seen the step on sleds around here

Dad and the town blacksmith put it on--I think it is off a 730??--I was in the Navy so I didn't help---Tee

I used to help a friend with his built 560 back in Pennsylvania. Him and a guy with a built G went back and forth for the win.
The G would go up into 9500 and if the 1066s beat him, it was by inches.

When the pan dropped, he powered out, they spun out.
