Tires for a W6 McCormick Deering Tractor.

My WD9 has 18.4x34 instead of 16.9x34. Not much clearance, pretty tight. Not hardly enough clearance to get your hand between the tire and fender. But the tires
do clear. All is good.

My W-4 has 14.9x26 tires on it. Looks great. But I can't get a set of chains on the tires that don't bang the heck out of the fenders and the fender mounting bars. So just a word of caution if you actually want to use your tractor in the north during the winter..Mine has to stay in the shed if the ground is white.

I do realize I don't live in NY nor want to. I also know of the hills and mountains in NY. I do not see the need to only have a tractor out of the shed in winter if it has chains. We have never had chains on a tractor yet. I suppose they might help some though we never thought we needed them. I also realize MI is a lot flatter than NY. My dad had an uncle that lived near Sharon Springs NY we used to visit.als been all over NY from Pa Line to VT line and across the southern tier or 17 Before it became a big road across US 20 and 5 down to PA from several places in NY and clear up to Hogansburg. I guess I've seen most of NY over the years and a good bit of this was in the winter.
