I have 4 ft LEDs in pole barn over workbench.
It has 4 ft long tubes,
One tube was strobing on and off.
I removed the end and discovered 2 DC power supplies, one for each LED.
I took sidecut wire cutters and removed power from the flashing LED.
One LED is brighter than 2 4ft florescent.
I have a feeling the DC power supply has a ripple on the DCV.
These LEDs were cheap, $12, 5000L, from RK.
First time I had any problem with these LEDs.
Have you had any problems with LED shop lights.

Every light in the new house is LED plus 4 ft daisy chained lamps in the shop. I've had 1 fail and that was a candelabra bulb that failed out of the box. You are absolutely correct on the brightness. The futures so bright I've got to wear shades.

Had a 60 watt equivalent in a basement porceline fixture fail...right after I bonked it with a board I was turning over to cut on the table saw! Have recessed in the kitchen, most of the rest of the house has led's as well. 4' over the workbenches. Only thing is the kitchen lights take a second or 2 to turn on.

Ive actually had several 120 VAC powered LED light issues in the home/shop HOWEVER like none in the RV that are straight DC battery powered.

I have no evidence or proof but wonder if the problem IS NOT THE LED ITSELF but just maybe the electronics and and rectifier circuits used to change the 120 VAC to DC ???????????????????

Darn if I know but that's been my experience in DC powered LED's versus AC powered plus the necessary electronics

I bought about 16 8 ft slimline lamps, the double row LED's, ordered them on Ebay.

They began failing about 2 months after I installed them. Did what yours did very annoying strobing and finally quit.

I opened them up and found a micro-transistor burned up. I took apart the failed ones and combined the good power supplies to make one good lamp. The power supplies were wrapped in paper, which I removed, and drilled some holes in the aluminum housing so they could get some ventilation.

Several failed in rapid succession, I bought some more from a different vendor, but they are identical. So far I haven't had any more fail, but I suspect they will.

Bought several 8ft HO's, they have all lasted without problems. Same thing, China made on Ebay.

Pretty much stuck with the China ones, the ones from the lighting supply are just priced beyond reason, and no guarantee they are any different. Also can't find the double row really bright ones anywhere but Ebay and Amazon.

I'll have to take the gamble on the cheap ones for now. Boss doesn't even like spending what I do for these.

Well I installed 6 of the very same about time you did. One of mine had flashing ever now and then and know me I just replaced the thing , now wish I had called my friend George.. LOL They sure are bright that is for sure.

I have replaced some of my flourescent shop lights with those rk led lights. The only problem is the interference with the radio when I turn it on. Has anyone had any experience with the ferrite isolators, good or bad???

There are cheap LED bulbs and there are cheap LED bulbs with a warranty. I have had some that interfere with AM radio more than others. About the only advice I can give is to buy your cheap bulbs that have a warranty and make sure you save your receipt.

I put 6 of those RK lights in my barn two years ago. I have already replaced one and just waiting for the next one to go.

Jerry,
I'm cheap and when I have little to do, I have to invent work.
Someday I may remove the DC power supply inside the fixture and do a little trouble shooting.
I'm guessing either the LED tube went bad or the DC power supply has some ACV, bad capacitor or diodes.
My son is considering making a trip to Dover when it works for you..
Saturday he's coming to Terre Haute and taking some of my recycled wood from my MINI MENARDS warehouse to make a butcher block workbench for the table saw I gave him.

Stay cool.
