Ford 641, 12 volt, all new wires and gauges. Alternator shows it's charging, but amp gauge needle goes towards negative....... Do I just need to switch wires on the back of gauge??

If you want it to read correctly yes you swap al the wires side to side. But you can leave it as is since you know it works and and if it where to start showing it was charging then you would know it has a problem then. I have one tractor like what yours is and I don't change the wires since the thing looks like if I tried it would then mean a new amp gauge
