That is what they say. I think I'll make it on my youngest son. been very dry and not going to be a huge crop but better than nothing.

the front corn didn't get sprayed. was edge of field and ran very crooked so was not worth trying to spray. It will all be cut for silage so a little wild oats and weeds won't hurt

He likes to get his nose dirty. he is almost 9 and short by our family standards. weighs in at 51 lbs.
Loves to go where the action is, just like his other 8 siblings.

I'm 6ft4 2 children same height already.

they all live at home and help out where ever is needed,

Tomorrow we go fishing all day

Did you say 8 other siblings? I thought my 5 was enough!

My early April corn is starting to tassel.

Ours is between knee and waist at this time. IF we had not gotten the 8 inches of rain in the last 14 days or less it would have been a struggle to be nee high.

Oldest son's field corn is about 8 feet tall and ears are filling out.
Planted middle of March.

Richard,
I have a green privacy fence.
Corn field across the street was planted on March 3rd. It 8 ft tall or more.

For all the dry weather we started out with, mine looks about the best it's ever been this time of year. Knock on wood. I got it in early since there wasn't any rain to stop me. It's better than waist high, thick and real deep green. I've got a few less acres than usual, so I kicked up the population and the fertilizer trying to grow the same bushels on fewer acres.

Correction. I just had to fix some fence down along the road and walked out in the corn on the other side. It's up past my chin. Unheard of this early in the year.
