Tornado yesterday afternoon ....this picture was taken about 2 miles west of us. No
indication of severe weather here at the time. Gives one a small appreciation of
the fear one experiences in tornado alley where they are much more frequent. Stay
safe everyone.

There was one about 30 miles north of me and another one about the same distance to the south. Good thing it didn't happen here, I was napping through most of the one that spawned those.

I know and confirmed by his mapdot rrlund is in Michigan. Maybe you wanted something more precise. I have included a link to the YT member map. In case you did not know this you can search a members location. Open the map and click the three lines. At the bottom of the list that shows is ..Search.. click that. Enter the users YT name in the upper box and click search. Small green print near the top will tell you if a match was found. If it was found click Map at the upper left. Centash also has a map dot.

No, this picture was posted on the weather channel. I was aware of the warnings, but there was no indication of anything like that outside my window.

The one in Goderich about 10 years ago did a lot of damage and injury there. This one is the closest I've seen.

About 12 years ago one came through and took down both of my sheds ,half the roof of an L shaped barn, several trees that surrounded the farm house. It took weeks to clean up the trees and debris. It was months before a new shed was built and the barn roof repaired. Couple of tractors had sheet metal damage. I had insurance but I still forked over about $30,000 to cover all the new shed and damage not covered . We picked roofing material off neihgbours fields a half a mile away. It is not a nice experience getting trashed by an F1. I hope in my lifetime it never happens again.

And the F1 is a weak one. Been several F2 in my area but not close to me. Might have been some stronger as well.

Centash . I looked at your location on the map . The marker is on Ian, Ralph and Lorne Scotts cow pasture in East Wawanosh Instead of south west of Lochalsh in Ashfield .

Yes, I know the marker somehow got in the wrong place....it's OK with me to leave
it there, sometimes you wonder how much info should be shared on an open forum like
this. Now, if a bad guy knows we are away and attempts to steal my old Massey, he
will have to deal with the mean bull in the Scotts pasture...

Thanks, Ben

Yes, it was a bad one, a fellow in the loading conveyor at the mine was killed when the winds toppled it. Lots of new homes in town now and most of the trees have grown back. You can still see evidence of it even now 10 years later.

Ben

Update....a drive by of the area revealed no damage....maybe it didn't touch down, thankfully.

Really close for my youngest daughter, there farm is at Riversdale just east of Kinloss, according to the storm trackers the Amberly cell went right over them heading towards Cargill. I missed driving into the Chatsworth cell by about four minutes heading to my middle daughters in Holland Center.
