Anyone know what that second pin on my yoke does? Big one is the release but the smaller
one moves left and right also.

No idea make or model, got it second hand.

Smaller pin is likely a rollpin and goes all the way through the yoke and shaft, positively retaining it and rendering the quick release pin non-functional.

Can you actually release the yoke from the shaft using the larger pin? If so, then the smaller one may be just a stop to locate the groove on the shaft so the larger pin can lock in place. If you can't remove the yoke from the shaft by moving the larger pin, then it may be true the smaller one is a lock pin to prevent yoke removal. Experimentation is your friend, here. zuhnc
