Ford 7610 radiator cap psi, oil filter relief pressure

My brother recently acquired a 6610 with a 7610 turbo engine ? This engine has the oil cooler.

We need to replace the radiator cap, oil filter and thermostat and get different specs even at the Ford site with no rhyme or reason.

The radiator caps are rated 7 psi or 13-14 psi.

The oil filters differ in dimensions as well as wide bypass valve relief pressures.

For most Fords of this era the thermostat is rated 180 degrees, but for the turbo 7610 the thermostat is rated 169-172 degrees.

Would some Ford specialist please chime in with the best recommended parts for each system.

Thanks,

.

One of my 7610 II tractor, takes the special thermostat with two ends on it. Otherwise it overheats under load. Previous owner had put a regular stat in it. The second end covers the warmup port to allow water to be only directed to the radiator only. Single ended thermostat will not close this port and allow the water pump to bypass the radiator for some of the flow. Not good under heavier loads. The warmup port was installed to make head warm up evenly and quicker with the main passage closed.

Just beware if you have that model.

I prefer the 188 stat to keep them warmer.
13# cap. The differences in thermostat are
largely climate related. Cap pressure
increased in later years.
Use the 2qt oil filter on the turbo engine
although I use it on all 3 and 4 cylinder
engines. My preference is FleetGuard LF682.
Bought by the case they're a good deal
cheaper...
