It's been a long week but we finished baling the last of first cutting hay yesterday evening
Since last Saturday we've mowed, raked and baled 625 4x5 rolls off of 81 acres located on 3 different farms up to 6 miles apart.
I had help with some of the mowing and raking but did all of the baling, my left knee is shot
This season from beginning to finish we covered 162 acres making 1194 bales while enduring 11 days of rainy weather
Not bad for a small family operation.
Now to haul the remaining 794 bales off the fields and clean out the poultry barns, after I replace the power steering pump on my F-450

Wish I could say I was done. I have maybe at best 1/3 of it done. The weather guessers are calling for rain most of next week so no baling hay for me. Still have 6 more round bales to put in the barn

Only rolled 118 5.5 x5.5 bales over the last couple days, but I'm with you on the left knee thing.

My Ford 8700 has a stiff clutch, it's a killer baling hay. But it does have AC, so I'll deal with it.

Yea it got hot here yesterday, the 6610 I bale with was getting hot with the AC on so I had to turn it off and just run the fan to circulate air
Flushed the radiator out but looks like Ill have to power wash it again
Guess Ill be splitting it in the near future as the throw out bearing started making noise yesterday, only has 5000 hours but its been my main baling tractor for the past 12 years and over 10000 bales
Thats a lot of clutching, makes my knee hurt thinking about it

finished first the other night hauled and inside with no rain on any of it. Had to contend with dad saying you should be cutting hay.
