Fuel gauge for 1958 MF 50 LP

I talked to a rep at Yesterdaystractors.com today but she was reluctant to advise me.
My 1958 MF 50 LP has a broken fuel gauge; it constantly reads as full(95%) but after repeatedly running out of LP fuel, it STILL reads full. I need a replacement gauge specifically for an LP tractor. My tractor's serial number is: SBM5I9267.
If anyone has a suggestion or knows what part will work, would greatly appreciate knowing what to order.
If for whatever reason you would prefer to privately message me, my email is [email protected]

Thanks for the reply; I've made my propane supplier aware of my problem, but he has never mentioned that he had(or could get)a replacement gauge. I live in a very small town, and my propane provider consists of one man and one truck, not a large company or corporation. But I will try again.

Is the gauge on the tank or in the dash?

If it's on the tank, a propane supply might have it. If it's like a typical tank gauge on the bottle, the mechanical part is inside, a float and set of bevel gears that turn a magnet. The gauge just sits in the pocket and reads via the magnet, that way no seal to fail.

Could be just the gauge face has failed, that is easy, no opening of the tank.

The gauge is on the dash, not the tank itself. I even tried using a magnet to see if I could "nudge" it back into operation, but no go.

Just received a new gauge for one of our forklift tanks, held in with 4 screws. Fairbanks Supply was the place our propane supplier got it from, mechanical float type.

I needed some fittings for a project and I found a website that has lots of propane supplies, including lots of gauge related stuff: www dot squibbtaylor dot com.
They might be able to help.
