Handy tip for today

So I have a tractor that needs DEF fluid, and every
jug comes with a flexible nozzle that screws on to
the jug for east of filling the tractor reservoir. This
flexible nozzle also screws on to antifreeze/coolant
jugs, and is really slick for pouring coolant into a
radiator. I just rinse them out after DEF , and they
are good to repurpose

I have avoided the DEF so far, and I'm guessing I can run out my career and keep it that way! I will not be tempted to get a DEF machine just so I can get the handy spouts!

Anyone with a newer diesel will have some to give you. I have to pick up some DEF for my pick up.

Thanks for the tip!!! I dont have anything that requires DEF but will see if can find some users and get me a couple!

I had to smile. Just don't get carried away. I had a flash to a guy here in the neighborhood who was definitely out of his blooming mind. He had an old car in his front yard, well, one car in particular out of many, he had it piled full of those little dry gas bottles. He said they were handy for everything, you can even cut them off and make little funnels out of them. LOL

That is a handy hint, never liked getting antifreeze on my hoods! As for the jugs, they aren't any good when I get done with them cause my pocket knife put a breather hole in the bottom of it!

It's a good tip, but I stopped buying def in the jugs for my truck. Is around $4.50 per gallon that way. At a fuel station that sells it at the pump, it's under $3 per gallon. I like that a lot better! But I know buying it for a tractor at a pump like I do is not feasible. And I like those spouts too as they have a vent built into them.

No doubt you would use enough to require bulk, but I only have one tractor that requires the darn stuff, so I just get a few jugs at one time. It has to be kept in a warm area, and not allowed to freeze, so a tote would be impractical for most
