First hay bales on the ground

And of course it had to give me some problems to deal with. Baler sits out side all winter long so to be expect. It is an old NH850 round baler with electric tie. I had to get off the tractor for every time I wanted to tie a bale. The part that hold the tie arm up and cuts the twine is very stiff so I guess I'll have to see if I can work some ATF into the area that move and hopefully free it up. Got 5.5 bake done but pretty good for a start

Old, perfect hay cutting weather today and tomorrow here. But rain is coming Saturday from a tropical storm......no hay cutting for me......

I'll be cutting more hay tomorrow and also putting what I baled in the hay barn. Next rain is called for on Monday so that gives me tie to cut rake and bale. But that also take time away from working on the cub grill etc. But one has to make hay while the sun shines. I also need to move a cattle guard I made years ago into the hay barn to use to keep the hay off the ground

By the way did you know at one time they made a loader that fit on the Cub?? Years ago I went to an auction and there was a loader there that sold for $7. I have kicked my self many times for not bidding on it. But I did get a manure spreader for $7 at that auction
