One of the most useless tractors made. PTO that had to be on for the 3pt to lift, Not enough weight to pull with no power to pull it with.

If it was so useless, why were so many sold and, why are so many still in use. I have the one my dad bought new and it's still being used. You may not like them but, they are an awful handy (little) tractor.

Hmmm, it makes you wonder why every other tractor manufacturer eventually made their own version of it...

One of the dumbest statements I have read on here.

The 3 point Ferguson system used weight transfer from the plow for traction thus the tractor did not have to be very heavy. It could work softer ground.

He's baaaaack , Some cattersumpin guy gotta be dumpin on Ns. I been ridin the one I got for 78 years. I like it.

Our 8N helped pay for an 80 acre farm as the one and only back in the day. That farm is worth over 1/2 million these days. I can't trash an 8N.

He thinks you have to have a D9 to pull a plow.

You have to read the manual or otherwise be smart enough to use one.
If you're trying to hook up some old JD or IH plow and try to drag it
along, it's not going to work well for you.
If it's coupled to the right equipment and used correctly, they work great.
Some people never seem to get that or simply can't get over their past mistakes.
I, for one, do not miss my JD trip bottom plow that I couldn't lift
unless it was physically moving. PITA when you hooked a tree root.
But my heavy, lumbering JD B of about the same HP would pull it.
Until it hooked that tree root or a large rock.
They only made/sold about 1/5 of that style JD's as they did the 8N.
Seems like there has to be a reason for that.
