Knee high....

I think that statement needs to be updated. Corn is usually that tall mid to late June. This field is easily that tall and then some. Applied 28 percent N last week and you can see where one of the hoses had an unseen pinhole leak. The hose later blew off as did another, then the hydraulic line blew! Finished the field with granulated urea.

The first field that I planted on May 8 is about to canopy. Another field that went in May 12 doesn't even look half as tall. It's a different variety, I hope that's the only reason that it looks so far behind. I haven't been up to the north lately to look at the corn up there, but my son said last night that it looks good. I'll be cutting hay up there pretty soon, I guess I'll see for myself then.

Mines is so high I am worried I will not be able to get the rest of my 28 on. The corn was taller than my front tires.

My corn was planted 4-27. About beer bottle tall...no rain since planting except some small showers to settle the dust. Hay that hasn't been cut is drying up. Hay that has been cut isn't coming back...E SD.

We had three small events the week before Memorial Day that helped, then we got real lucky last Friday and caught an inch along with a lot of wind. That's all we've had since the first week of April, but it's kept us going.
