Ran the cub through the corn patch June 1. Took the next picture 10 days later. The cub ain't going through there again! All the rain sure has made it grow

That and the plants are crowded enough that the they are fighting for sunlight.
Same in a pine tree plantation, trees on southside edge will not grow to same heights as those elsewhere.
 
That was the fertilizer composted what?? I make a compost pile almost every fall and have one pile that it would take a dump truck to haul off
 
I sold 1300 dozen sweet corn this year and I could of sold another 13. I planted every piece of ground I could find into corn even planted part of one field into corn. Planted it with a 2 row international with fiberglass hoppers and cultivated with my 4020 and a 2 row cultivator with 16 inch wheatland . sweeps they had enough crown to really hill the corn up . Those were the days I dont even plant corn anymore
