When Uncle Bucky posted the thread (linked below) about an in-line gasoline filter I didn't have time to find and post the following photo.

This is a little pleated paper filter that replaces the screen inside many glass sediment bowls and works quite well is it fits your particular sediment bowl correctly.

WIX number is 33039.

Inline filters work just fine on my gravity feed Terramites. They vapor locked on Jubilee on hot days 90+ when the heat from radiator and manifold caused fuel temps to get around 155 degrees.

Some lawn mowers use a small red filter that uses just a screen. Those don't seem to vapor lock.

I use inline paper filters on lawn mowers with a fuel pump, no problems.

I use an inline paper filter on Farmall C, no problem because unlike the fords, the gas tank isn't under a hood and getting blasted with heat from radiator and heat from exhaust.

Paper filters work on Fords just fine in the winter.

I posted the same thing a couple years ago only with a NAPA filter and spring below to hold it tight to the inlet and got soundly Poo Poo'd. Was told just how efficient a segment bowl worked and no need to try to improve it. Same person probably still uses a hand crank, mechanical brakes, and Armstrong steering as they worked good too!

Some auto parts stores have good counter people who can walk to the bin and get a gravity filter without looking it up but they will still have to use the computer to bill you the local O Riley's works for me.
