Picture of Farmall F30 with Steel Wheels

I'm writing a biography about my father who was born in 1924. He told me the first tractor he operated was an F30 with steel wheels.

I would like to get a picture of this tractor to use in the book. Does anyone have a tractor in the Peoria, Illinois area where I could come and take a picture? Does anyone have a good picture of an F30 I could use?

Thanks!

There are lots of good pictures on Google images. Just type 'Farmall F-30' on Google image. You will be rewarded with hundreds of F 30
pictures.

Hi Gary,

That picture is perfect!

I can see the photo, but I can't figure out how to download it. Can I get the file in a .jpg format to put in my book?

I should have mentioned in the post that my dad was a WWII veteran and farmed for 46 years afterwards.

Thanks!
Joe

On our computer I just right click on the photo and it will give me the option to "save as" or "save image as". Click that and it puts it either into the "pictures" folder or else the "downloads" folder.
At least that's how ours does it.

Thanks Rich'sToys,

I was able to download the file like you explained. Unfortunately, the file size is only 84KB, so it's not large enough to print. Is there a way that I could get the original file? Can I send my email address so Gary Mitchell can send the original photo?

Thanks!
Joe

Because this is a php embedded image, it will not save as a jpg or gif, but as a web page. Assuming one is on a Windows based computer proceed as follows:

1. Hover mouse over the tractor image.
2. Right click the mouse, scroll down to "view image", click that.
3. The image will appear on the screen with a black border, or it MAY appear as just the image with no border.
4. In the upper right of the keyboard, locate the key labelled; "prnt scrn". It may be in blue subscript, or yellow, or it may be in white, with a different subscript. What we want to do is to "print the screen image".
5. Using either the Fn key for the subscript, or the Alt key for superscript on that 'prnt scrn' button, hold down the Fn or Alt, and press the 'prnt scrn' key once.
6. Go to applications, and select "paint", open the application.
7. The screen print image is saved in your copy buffer. On the upper left of the paint application click the "Paste" button. The entire screen capture should pop into the image window.
8. Click the "select" button to the right. Hover your mouse over the top left of the image you want to keep.
9. Click and HOLD DOWN the left mouse button, now drag the mouse to the lower right of the image you want to keep. A dashed rectangle will enlarge as you drag with the button down.
10. When you have the image outlined in dashed line, release the mouse button, do not click it again or you will lose your selected image box.
11. Click "Crop" from the top left.
12. The image you outlined will be the only thing left.
13. Click 'file', hover over 'save as' move right, and click on 'jpeg'.
14. Save the file with the location and name you like. The .jpg will be appended to the file name you choose.

Hi Gary,

I love your picture of the F30! It would be great for my book.

I've been getting advice on how to download it, but the file size is too small to use on a printed page. Do you have the original file? If yes, would you please email it to me? My address is [email protected].

Thanks!
Joe

That picture is actually one of the photos in the link I posted above. You might try locating it there and see if you can download it using the procedure I described. No guarantees that will work either, but worth a shot.

Good idea Rich.

I downloaded the image from the website you sent. That image is also too small to print. Sure hope I can get the original.

Thanks!
Joe
