Love that truck-thanks for posting-- got the spec-s on that bad boy? motor - tranny -air cond. or not --- more pics.? Roy

There is a farm near Sunfield MI that was using an old dodge about like that in not as nice a shape for hauling grain to the elevator. They are a sharp truck for the time and even now. Probably has a 350or 400 Cummins with a 13SPD on I'm ging to guess 3.90 rears maybe 4.11 or 4.10's. Looks like it might be on Tall 24's also.

Very rare truck, all of them always were and especially now. There were a handful Cummins and Detroit engines available in the couple years of production. Cummins NTC's 230,250,290,350, Detroit 6-71, 8-71 to name a few

(quoted from post at 16:58:15 06/06/21) That is really sweet! What is
the engine and transmission?

Originally a 350 Cummins 13 speed, now Big Cam 400
RTO 9513, 4.11rears, 24" rubber.
Thanks!

(quoted from post at 13:42:39 06/06/21) Don't see alot of those. nice
nly 261 built in a 3 year production run, estimated about 100 left. a very collectable truck.

With 261 built over three years, Chrysler/Dodge must have made a huge profit per unit or no wonder they went belly up.

Read elsewhere that the cab is basically made up of late 1950's Dodge pickup truck cab.

I had a '79 Cummins Big Cam 400 in an International cab over rock bucket, 15 speed Rooster. Nice reliable engne. I'd load up with a
quart of ATF and 100 gallons of diesel every morning and that was back when diesel was a buck a gallon. When it went up to a dollar
and a dime, I got hacked because somebody reached in my pocket and pulled out a ten dollar bill and I got nothing in return. The
bunk (only) was neat as I'd eat lunch, crawl back into the bunk just behind the seat, full belly, AC running cool, engine rocking me to
sleep....life was good.....

I just had to get that out of my system. When I was a kid, I was an urbanite but on the edge of a small town and there was always a
sand pile somewhere for me to play in with my trucks....many hours of great sport I had in those piles......and having to clean up to
suit mom so that she would let me back in the house afterwards was just a tolerable necessity.
