Massey 230 gas runs great, after you use it for awhile starts losing power and quits. Once it sets for a
while no problem until it runs for a while. It has had several new coils, carberator, distributor, wires,
plugs, points, condensor, new fuel line, tank filter, fuel cock,etc..... Worked on it for years never fixed.
Any suggestions.

Trouble shoot before part always.
Run it till if dies.
#1 check for spark the moment it dies and make sure you have a good blue/white spark that jumps a 1/4 inch gap or more at the center wire of the cap and at all the plugs wires.
#2 pull the carb drain plug and make sure you have a good stead flow of gas that will fill a pint jar in less then 2 minutes.
#3 when was the last time you checked the air filter and made sure all was as it should be?

I had the same problem with my Ford 600 a few years ago. I decided it must by the coil, so I bought a replacement. When I went to install the new coil, the power wire to the coil broke as I was trying to loosen the terminal. It turned out that the braided wire had corroded or frayed inside the insulation. Enough contact was left to start and run the tractor when the wire was cold, but I suspect that the there was enough resistance at the frayed/corroded point to break the contact when the wire heated up.

A new piece of wire solved the problem. An ignition switch (or wire into or out of the switch) could cause the same problem. You might try running a jumper wire from the battery to your coil.

Fuel cap clogged, vapor lock due to gas line being too close to exhaust or an internal restriction in the fuel line between the pump and tank, or ignition coil.
