My luck would be the 2x6 would drop down or the funnel would fall out and I'd spill the whole mess. Much easier to just pump it from a tank into the tractor. Even a 100 gallon tank. I use an old aluminum truck tank for fuel to tractors in the field.

I use Kroger's fuel rewards points. Get a buck off a gallon. I have less than 100 hours on tractor. It's my AC mower and heated snow remover. Averages 0.6 gallons per hour. Not going hungry buying fuel for the Kubota.

(quoted from post at 09:20:54 06/02/21) Is that over the road diesel fuel ?

I'm too cheap to burn those tax dollars in my tractors.
round here (North East, MD) dyed diesel is often just as much or more than road diesel. I never buy it because then it can only go in the tractor. Road diesel can go in the car, truck, or tractor.

Is off road diesel a buck cheaper?
I don't use a lot of diesel. Only have 5 gallon cans

We used to have a few local Kroger stores. None of them sold fuel. I don't know of a Kroger within a 50 mile radius now.

I am cheep, and it chaps me to think of all the people that pay road tax on gasoline that they use in their lawnmowers. Lawnmowers don't seem to contribute much wear and tear to the roads around where I live.

Bought tractor in Nov of 2019, To date I've used about 55 gallons of diesel.

It would probably take me 25 years to burn 900 gallons.

I think I will buy my fuel for a buck off at Kroger's 35 gallons at a time and use my 2x6 assistant.
