Dang it!! I Broke it

My bead breaker, that is. I was changing the rear tires on the Oliver 1550, got one side done and started on the other side. I got the outside bead broke free and started on the inside bead. It pushed hard and got to be too much for the ratchet, so I grabbed the breaker bar and cranked on it some more. It has a roll pin that holds the nut on the shaft and I snapped it off. I got another pin that was a little too big and got it drove half way through. Tried to loosen it and it didnt come free, turned just as hard loosening it as it did tightening it. I think I stripped the threads.

. Any body ever take one of these apart??

I assume if you get the pin back out, the nut off, and the set screw on the side out, the works will drop down out of there. Then maybe you can see what's going on. I've got one just like it. But it, like me, is semi retired!

The screw at the bottom of your picture if you take it out the left pusher will slide out . If the roll pin is clean broke off it should pull out. I had mine most of the way apart when it was binding

i should be a preacher... i am always telling people to oil your threads on pullers or use copper coat or never seize on them. that is the first thing i always do, even on my snap on harmonic balancer puller. sure saves threads and makes life easy. me and the step son just changed rear tires on my w-450 and he just used a tire hammer. was way faster to remover the tire break the bead then bolt it back on the hub for assembly. he even told me stories of guys phoning him back at the shop and saying they cant break the bead, he tells them get the hammer out!
