Clean Hay fields this year

I've cut and baled seven hay fields to date and very few weeds here in s.w.Pa. Haven't even seen a thistle. Maybe because it is early in the year.

Im not terribly far away from you Wolfman and am observing the same thing. Dont have an explanation. Am mildly surprised and happy that you got seven fields done. I think a lot of guys may be regretting they did not capitalize on last weeks dry hot weather. I gave up some yield but baled some extremely nice first crop.
