John dear 4066 2016 425 hours
Tractor starts and runs well in the morning after 30 minutes of use, if I shut the tractor shut off, will not restart for approximately 2 hours.
All the lights on the dash comes on when I turn the key on like normal, no error codes, no clicking sound. Engine will not turn over. After the 2 hours the tractor will start normal again.
I have changed out the battery. Power going to the starter. I checked the ground connection.
If anyone else has had this problem or nose how to resolve it I appreciate your advice thank you

For those who have knowledge about this tractor, it may help to know by what you mean it won't restart. Does the starter
not engage, or does it just crank over and over and not start?
 
Hello, DB welcome to YT. Did you check with the service
department of your local Deere dealer to see if they have a
clue? I suspect your issue has to do with some safety
device in the starter circuit switch, relay etc. First thing to
check would be for a battery voltage of 12.6 when it does
not start. Second would be to see if it is getting power to
the engagement terminal on the solenoid when turned to
the start position. Beyond this pretty difficult without a
wiring diagram. I will attach a link to show others what this
tractor looks like.

By miles I will guess you meant hours?

So does it crank over but not start, like its starved for fuel?

Or does it just click but it doesnt turn over?

Or it doesnt click or do anything?

If it turns over does it smoke, does it turn over slow, and so on......
 
After the first guy asked that it looked like he edited his post to clarify that ..post editing is now reinstated.. But I think in your case you overlooked that it says ..no clicking sound...
 

The battery is at 12.6 V, normal operating temperature, the engine does not turn over.
John Deere service departments not sure what is going on also. They want to start changing out parts. I like the idea about to relay.

I have a john deere 4200 That did that it was the fuel shutoff solenoid, About a twenty minute fix to replace it.
