Question about a tractor mirror

I have a tough time looking back at implements and would like some ideas on a mirror to mount on fenders.
Would like one I could move from tractor to tractor.
Not really looking for electronic gizmos yet.
It would be used on my 8N, my VAC Case, and my Kubota 5030.
JD H is used for cultivating and all I have to do on it is glance down. LOL

Renee mounted an old pick up truck mirror on the side of the hood of her Ford 640. Works great, until you crank up the tractor. Vibrates so bad you can't see anything behind you.

I like the pipe idea.
I could make a simple home made tightening set up for it by welding a nut and using a bolt with a tee welded to it like my stands in my shop.
Thanks Rich.

What can I say but I have learned many tricks over the years. LOL. In the upper 70s/low 80s today so put the okra I had in starter pot in the garden. Hope the weather guesser is wrong since they say we may have rain for the next 7 days

Rich, we are at 90 degrees now and no rain in the 10 day forecast.
Not looking good.
Oldest son's corn is about shoulder high and is not showing stress yet.
Old Clemson proff I had said that each stalk of corn would use 5 gallons a day.
Hard to believe.

Go to Amazon. They have flat and convex mirrors. A mirror with brackets like used to mount a truck mirror.
I'd you don't permanently mount them because vibrations will distort the image.
I mounted round mirror on Kawasaki mule.

Kubota came with 3 mirrors, left, right and one inside.
I mounted a large round mirror to help my better see the hitch and tires which backing off implement trailer

Sorry for the poor quality of pic. I use smartphone to take pictures of mirrors on Amazon.
The old truck mirror might bolt on to fenders..

I see I am no the only one who has trouble looking behind me. The only way I can do it, is in reverse low. I stand up out of my seat to see behind. Harbor Freight sells magnetic tow lights. You might be able to modify a couple of those to hold a mirror. Stan

No rain here yesterday or today and not suppose to rain Monday but Tues to Tuesday calling for rain and temps in the upper 70s low 80s. Just came in from doing a bit of mowing with the Cub and I am dripping wet. It is around 81 or so right now and humid

What about a backup camera?
I installed a backup camera on Kubota to assist with front bucket. I had to buy a bumper camera because back up camera is backwards.
Use a magnet to hold camera. Make an easy way to plug in monitor on different tractors. Use a suction cup to hold monitor.

If you look at some excavators they have two convex mirrors one in the cab that looks to another mirror on the rear that set 90 degrees to the rear of the machine so an operator can see down and behind the machine

Can you put it on a spade mount like an SMV emblem uses so you can move it from one to another?

Cut a couple leather washers out of an old boot. Put them every where you have a mount bolt ie. bracket to fender and mirror to bracket.

For extended vision on oversized loads I used some of those old chevy side mounted mirrors with a piece of stainless pipe and a couple hose clamps and it would hold to the brackets for the mirrors without a lot of vibration so could still see in them. A long pipe or flat bar is going to vibrate terrible if not mounted right. I would think fender mounted mirrors would be susceptible to vibration. What if they were mounted on the frame and view rear through by the axle could be solidly mounted on the frame then.

I have a convex mirror I spec its 12" it does OK for look'N. It was free : ) Thanks to your tax dollars... I mounted it high and just off to the side of my gord...

I have a couple of those mirrors on two tractors and they do work pretty good. Local tax dollars
paid for mine too.
