Got it unloaded and in the barn. Will not shift in to reverse. Wiring looked like a drunk spaghetti cook got a hold of it. Rotor was not turning. Pulled distributor and found the pin sheared on shaft. Some one put a couple long screws in to hold points and condenser and that bent the inner plate. Compression test showed 0 ,55, 40 and 40. Pulled manifold and valve cover, one stuck valve. Got it soaked with penetrating oil. Soaking head bolts........ Heads coming off..... one brake doesn't work, quick check showed that the rod has rusted off.More up dates to come. We are gonna sit in the air conditioning for a while. I'm gonna leave it alone and not bother to tell him all the issues.

O'Reilly's sells a pack of correct size screws for the points and condenser. I try to keep a pack in my mobile tool box since I have run into that before and to no screws at all. Had an 8N I fixed for a guy and it didn't have points or condenser in the distributor or the hold down screws so had to replace all of that

Hey Old. Luckily we have a couple extra distributors for cubs on the shelf. Found 6 or 7 at a shop where the owner had passed away and family is cleaning up... Sold a couple and kept a couple

I might get in if I am lucky. The rain and where I live don't mix when it come to a text. Tried to call you when I was in town doing some shopping for thing my mom needed
