This weekend's project was to take an old auger frame, and make it into a trailer for my 3 point backhoe. Tired of hooking up to it just to move it. Now, I can move/store it with ease. Have some clean up work to do yet and some of my welds look pretty ugly, but I will re-visit those.

SDMIKE......Man.... You did a great job. It'll make your maneuvering of 3 point hoe so much easier. Wishing you all the best. Wingnut

Friend of mine used to have a welding business and I would help him time to time. He used to tell me that the weld didn't have to be pretty, just had to be burnt in and hold. You did a good job sir.

Looks good to me but then I'm not a member of the YT Ugly Weld Police. They may come along and write you up.

The only problem I see is not having guides for the bucket to slide down into the pocket easier. Yours are straight. I would want some flare to them to make it easier to drop in place.

Thought about that, but it will slide into the pocket from the rear, instead of down from the top. Thanks for the comment.

Nope, I just left them on from it being an auger frame. Guess I figured they were not in the way, so I didn't cut them off. Thanks.

It isn't all that easy to see the welds but they don't look all that bad to me. I have seen a LOT worse.
