Last Hoarder Pics

Here are the last pics. The outbuilding that is falling down and bursting open shows how much was stuffed in there. I imagine the work involved in carefully stowing all those things away, getting into the loft, making sure they had a safe place under shelter. Bed frames, wire crates from a dairy, windows, scrap pieces of lumber, on and on. BTW, this sale was just the first part--an effort to clear out the exterior. The auction people told me there are three buildings full of stuff that needs to be sold.

(quoted from post at 17:51:06 05/16/21) Is that Sealtest on them milk crates ???

That sure brings back memories of my childhood.

Yes, Sealtest. Must have had some plan for them, never know when they'll come in handy.

Thanks for posting these.

Giving me a yearning to go to a
junkyard... it's been a few years since
we made a parts-run.

It was a fun time walking through, SweetFeet. And it was good I missed the sale so I couldn't buy anything hahahahaha! I wonder about the scrappers, though---cutting away the trees, skidding those pieces out of there. Seems like a small payday at the end of all that. That F600 truck is going to need a lot of encouragement to budge even one inch from that spot. If the next sale is on a day I can attend I may go back. I mostly like the machines, though.

Really does make a person wonder what happened when there are trees growing through the stuff. Bad health? Bad luck? Or maybe they just never wanted to sell anything because oh no, its worth way more than that!. I have a hard time passing judgement but it really makes one wonder, could the stuff have been put to use elsewhere. Ultimately I agree with what Traditional said in the other topic, not my business when its not my property.

Yes, exactly.

The Bible covers this in Matthew 7:1-3.
have old equipment just like that. I parked it there because I thought I might need it again later. Never did & it is still here , just in case me, kids, grandkids ever need it. For now, it gives vegetation something to grow around. I'm a second hand vegan myself....cows eat vegetation, I eat cows.

He may of kept the equipment because it had Zero$ value when it was parked years back when scrap had no value. Also pull one part or sell a couple parts off the machine he got more out of it than scrapping it.I pull pieces of steel off old machines to use all the time, saves me time and money to go get a some steel and far better quality than what new is today.Used side rails off AC WD/WD45 tractors to use for side rails on my F550 flatbed, some off the best steel ever made.
