Isn't that the truth! I hear all these complaints on the internet - bad sensor, computer glitch, emissions - all shut down the tractor and work is stopped until a dealer can come out to fix.

My old tractors can leave you setting broken down too - but right away, we can rule out all of the above before we start troubleshooting.

neat machine but has no comparison to modern machines as its scope of usefulness is so limited. i've had plenty of em in the past.

Absolutely true,a friend that works as a mechanic at a dealership says the classes on the new tractors are 85% on the electronics.

It may be useless,but it is light years better than looking at the backside of a mule.And how many of those 'new fangled' electronic gismos will still be running in 70 + years?Darn few. And that little useless prehistoric fossil will still be out there working, earning a liveing.

I don't get it. Why all the sudden is everyone against electronics, when some promote replacing points and condensers with electronic ignition?
Upgrading to 12v and alternator which has diodes and electronic voltage regulator.
I don't get it.
And anyone who responds to my post is using chip technology.

If you had crop in the field or trying to get your crop in and a sensor shut you down for a week or a wiring harness youd understand. Most people dont get the timeline and the loss not getting things done when they need to ge on the farm a week can hail and destroy a thousand acres or more of crop
