Ford 800 propane problem

A friend is working on a Ford 800 propane , the tractor will not start without ether ,it runs for a while but acts like it is starving for fuel , I have been around the gasoline versions but not .the propane , the tank is 40% full, thanks for any ideas

There is a fuel filter that gets plugged with black flakey stuff. Looks like acorn with hex or square on bottom. Vaporizer /regulator may need attension.

If the gauge is any thing like the tank gauge on my forklift, it may be 40% full or it may be empty. Verify there is gas in the tank.

Have you cleaned the Vaporizer? The Vaporizer will get plugged up with grease. Also the mixer(carberater) Draws from the vaporizer so look for torn gaskets that would prevent the drawing of fuel. I had a 35 MF with propane, it was a great little tractor.
