Is Abilene Machine selling out, or just their collection of tractors? I see they're having a big sale June 4th by Mecum.

I was at Abilene Machine about a week ago to pick up a part and I saw no signs that they were shutting down so I'm guessing that they're just getting out of the collecting business. It is
an impressive lineup of neat tractors - might have to go and check them out before they're gone from this area.

Don't know. Been there a few times and didn't know they had a collection. Most of them look fairly good so they would likely go for more than I would want to give.

Looks to me like they rebuild the tractors over a period of time and then sell them. They had a similar sale a few years ago
with many high crop, front wheel assist, and other semi-rare John Deere tractors.

A lot of shops put guys to work in restoration shop ,rather than layoff in slow times.
To hard to get good people back , never shut down !

The original owner, Loren restored the odd ones that would come in over the years. There are some really nice ones on this sale. Quite a few muscle tractors. Bob
