Going rates for small squares stacked?

I charge $1 per bale minimum of $300 per day plus milage if its more than 15 miles from home.. I don't stack but if I did it would be at least another $1.

$75/hr. from the time I leave my place to the time I get back. You want them stacked, you hire someone to stack them. You don't know anyone to stack them I will give you my list of kids that I hire. You
work out wages with them.

My guy does either $2 a bale or 50/50 split. That's cut, raked and baled, and I pay the guys on the wagon and in the barn.

If you live in a state with a good land grant university they usually publish a list of custom rates for farm work. That gets your
hay baled. Then, as pretty much everyone else has said, you figure out how to get it stacked.

I look at the local custom rates for my area. Charge by the acre for cutting and raking. By the bale at 1.00 per bale for baling and 0.50 per bale for stacking. It ends up around 2.30 to 2.75 per bale when it's all totaled up.

Here in the Mountain west I'would think that prices would be close to $55 per ton not touched by a human
hand. No body doing small bales custom . I have neighbor who does several thousand ton small but will not
run his small balers on hay he doesn't own, does do several thousand tons in large squares custom.
Delta Steve would know better/

I charge $25/acre to cut/swath. $1.00 to bale.41.00 to oick/stack with NewHolland stackwagon. However I no longer stack for others.$12.00 rakeing. My prices are about mid range. but I am considering raiseing to 30;1.25,rakeing staying the same. Big squares and rounds are at about 15.0-20.

$6.00/bale provided they have kept their fertility up. Otherwise it is equipment time.

So with this recent inflation, $3/bale stacked wouldn't be out of the question?

Grandad custom baled for decades. I remember in the 70's getting a nickel a bale, and making more than anyone I knew.

Yes, but only if yield is good. If not I charge by the hour for each step. On my own ground I can keep fertility up high enough so that at $7.00/bale I am doing OK.
