Got in unloaded and loaded the old trailer with equipment for another custom job . Used antifreeze came in as well Im still debating whether or not to use it for ballast .

Trailer looks good. Though I would not use the Antifreeze for tire ballast. I know you don't like the chloride though it is heavier per gallon than the rest of it and not as detrimental to things if it leaks. Not sure what problems could be incurred if you had a tire go flat with it .

I'm a believer in rear ballast over tire ballast when it comes to transferring weight off front tires when lifting heavy

I tried lifting the metal brake and it flattened my front tires.
I had to use 900# rear ballast.

Having counterbalance on 3 pt relieves a lot of stress on frt axle that rear tire ballast doesn't. Several yrs back I conducted my own test by weighing tractor on a scale with various loads.

My Kubota M7040 & LA1353 loader with cast rear wheels weighs 7670#s
Same tractor/loader with bale on frt & rear 9630#s
Frt bale weighs 1090#s
rear bale weighs 870#s

Frt axle with bale on frt and bale on the rear 5380#s

Frt axle with bale on frt no rd bale on the rear 5990#s

Im a CC fan as well,, not toxic and it weighs something and its what the tire guys expect to find. Not so many of us around I guess!

Nice trailer.I like anybody don't like the mess of cc for ballast but have been told by more than one tire guy they don't care for the other forms of ballast when they get a call out to repair a tire out in the field.I pay the extra money for the best inner tube when using cc for ballast.

We think alike. Rear ballast transfers weight and
at the same times adds weight to rear tires.

Im looking more for tillage than loader counter balance. I can
pretty much handled anything loader wise but with the bigger
tires I dont have much traction
