Kevin, you will love it.
Been using one for years that our sons bought me.
A lady in her 80's near here wore the wheel out on one at the axle and had to order a new wheel.

I have one, works well, just I'd prefer something like a Cole or Planet Jr given the handle height is higher. These may plant heavy on corn, good idea to run across a tarp, see what it is doing. Also, spider webs can plug up the drop tube off season, air hose will take care of that. I did a 50' x 70' plot of sweet corn 5 years ago with one of these, was a nice stand actually.

I paid $5 for mine at a yard sale then brought a set of plates at a garden store I Think they were $25. The okra plate works great also.

Keep the hopper and chute nice and clean and they do a decent job. With smaller seeds you often need to have a lot more seed than you intend to plant in the hopper to get a good result.

Nice find GPL. We never anything that cheap here. People have them, don't use rhem but still want almost new pricing for them. It's crazy. Wingnut

I have my original one my boys gave me and I found another with a box ox plates for #50.
Now I have 2 and people keep borrowing plates.

Is there a plate for Okra?? I have one of those planters and some where in the house is a Jean bag my mom made with the plates in it but not sure where it is at this time

For sweetcorn I'd just get and old corn planter for it and use. Easier and less fooling around. Theyu can be had for cheap if you keep watching.
