Earliest Ive ever planted corn

I have never before planted corn in April. I only plant a few acres for myself and the middle of may usually works just fine. I always buy my seed from my friend when he cleans out his planter- generally just the right amount for me. I would also be willing to guess that this was the smallest planter in the county planting today!

There was a year back in the early 90s, I finished on May 1. That'll probably never happen again.

Its a 970. Planter does a good job with seed placement but I do a lot of jumping off and checking in the rows to make sure she is planting.

We started on 4/6. Dad put in a little sweet corn.

Ground was dry so I started planted the next day. Even got my youngest helpers to assist getting the planter ready.

Finished corn last Monday and by Wednesday had 3 inches of rain.
