, You can buy a brand new one from John Deere. I bought a book for my old number 71 unit plantar last year. Ebay,JenSales are other sources.

Go to -- https://techpubs.deere.com/ . When there click on the Equipment Publications tab. When that page opens enter 7000 in the box beside Model # and search. You should get a dropdown list of equipment with 7000 in the model #. Click on 7000 that appears under the search box, that should open a list of 7000 items. Look down the list to Planters - Base Units. There are several choices you will need to check to find the one that matches yours. When you click on one, it opens the list of manuals. You should see Operator's Manual and to the right of that it should say Download (with no price beside it). Click on Download and you can download and save a free copy of the Operator's Manual. If you want a book or CD the prices for those are shown below that, they are not free.
