tractor hydraulics where there were none

grumpydaniel had a question about adding hydraulics to a tractor that didn't come with same. I have 2 tractors that had that done before I bought them.
First is a 1937 Allis Chalmers WC. The system uses a car power steering pump and 2 way valve to pick up the snow plow blade that I took off. Tractor lifted the blade acceptably.

The second is a 1941 Farmall A that was intended to be used with a rear snowplow. PO said it didn't work very well. possibly due to larger diameter hydraulic cylinder needing too much oil flow? Also, when you step on the clutch, belt pulley/ hydraulics stop.

Just a couple ideas that might work for someone.

I added this pump from a John Deere Combine. It is belt driven from the fan shaft. the reservoir is upfront. Works quite well.

well there is that monroe seat setup someone from the farmall forum was wondering about on a farmall M.

Yep three M's and a John Deere a have that seat. Plus and all over 60 that has a variance of that seat

I guess that begs the question. Can a person tee off of the power steering pump on a pickup to put a couple remotes on the pickup?

Any idea what the gpm and pressure output is on a vehicle power steering pump?
