Got the sprig working on the cub seat

So I have been heating and soaking this seat for days now. It didn't free up or even come close. So today I took the pan part of the seat off and took the seat mount off the tractor and put it in my 12 ton press. Started to press down on it and it didn't even try to move. So I put some heat to it to the point I got parts red hot. If finally started to move. So with it compressed I put ti all together and back on the tractor. I then took a long bar and started working the seat side to side and it finally would turn. Pull the seat up and out of the mount and cleaned it up and greased it up good and now when you sit on it the seat moves up and down like it should. Up till I had it apart I didn't know the inner part of the seat went threw a part that is 6 plus inches long.

I hope you didn't overheat the spring. But then you know what you are doing so probably you didn't.
