Friday tractor

I have read a small amount about Friday tractors. Seems they were made for Orchards in the state of Michigan. They were made out of vendor parts and were able to run 40 plus miles per hour. One of their functions was to haul fruit from the field to the fruit Packing Shed. They are however one of the ugliest tractors I have ever seen. But they are kind of cool just the same.

They were built in Hartford Michigan. I have an Oliver 500 with orchard fenders and I believe it was converted by Friday. When I took it apart to restore it, the fenders were red on the inside and looked to be the same red as any Friday I've ever seen. The tractor was found in a barn near Hartford, strengthening the theory that it was a Friday conversion.

I grew up 30 miles to the west of the factory.
I believe the founder was Dave Friday.
Just Google Dave Friday tractor.

Also look up Love Tractor Company which was bought by Dave Friday and the Friday tractor sheet metal was virtually unchanged from that of the Love Tractor.

A good info article:
