Sold a cultivator

I am selling a few items to help pay for the 'new' house. One of those is a White 6 row danish tine corn cultivator. It also has a double diamond bar set up on the rear for furrow openers. And a nice set of tunnel shields. I farm 4 row these days, have for several years. I have kept it because I had a customer who would hire me to cultivate 50 to 100 acres a year.He has since bought his own outfit and has not needed me for about 3 years. I have kept it thinking I might expand up 6 row. But in light of the current situation,I decided o sell. Had a friend list it on Craigs list for $1500. I figured it was high, but what the heck. A guy called, showed up a couple hours later and handed me the cash.Cool. Other items are for sale but so far is only scammers responding.

Steve,

That scammers calling on Craigslist is a real problem. I took down a large granary a while back and tried to sell the barn wood. I was offering it for $.50 a board foot. I still have a five gallon bucket full of nails that I pulled out of all of the boards. I had scads of callers but not one person showed up with money. I eventually used some of it patch up an old barn that I have and burned the rest of it.

I have a set of bunk beds and a like new tread mill that I need to get rid of right now, but I'm reluctant to list them on Craigslist. I've tried to give them away to friends and family, but no takers. Maybe the problem is me rather than Craigslist.

A nice IH 183 6 row Danish tine had a 100 dollar starting bid on online auction here and no takers. That is how row cultivators sell here in SE Mi.

We have an old tobacco barn. Folks often ask me if they can have some of the weathered siding. I always answer, If you bring me new boards you may have the old ones. So far, no takers.

Same here, we have 4 barns with tongue and groove siding and people stop and want to buy it. I tell them all the same thing. First bring enough ribbed steel to side the barns. Then take the wood off and it stays here until all the steel installed, then you can take the wood,, no takers

1500 that is pretty good for a cultivator, a six row around here only has been a couple hundred bucks, except when I wanted to buy my Massey cultivator just to have one, it went for 600, but I got it!
