Long Life Fuel Filters

I got pretty good life out of these Fleetguard fuel filters on the 2090 Case at 15 years and 2300 hours. Everything was still working fine but I figured I should change them just in case they started to act up during the busy seasons. Co-op sells clean fuel and Im pretty fussy with it too. I had more work than expected when it came to getting the air out of the system. I recorded some of it for future reference when I change the next set 15 years down the road.

I used to change all mine once a year too but finally decided it wasn't necessary as long as I'm careful with the fuel handling. I remember on the old 30 series Case tractors they had a filter light on the dash that would come on when fuel pressure got too low at the filters indicating it was time to change. The 730 has a gauge instead of a light which is even better as you get a little warning when the fuel pressure is getting low.

Thats is nice to have a gauge my truck has one . Sometimes they can be hard to get primed up again all right. I haul fuel in cans a lot and I try to keep it clean by I still dont trust it

(quoted from post at 05:31:58 04/24/21) The low humidity in your area probably helps too. I think moisture is as much of a problem as dirt.
Probably true. It is a rare thing to find water in any of the water traps on filters/tanks here.
