I am looking at a McCormick Deering tomorrow, a 1925 model. What are some things I should be looking for in particular? The Carb and Mag have both supposedly been rebuilt in the last few months.
Thanks in advance

Check your upper body musculature, fitness and tone. I saw a man hand-start one one time.

Appreciate the comments, Paul I will check on that warrenty, *S*. Supposedly is easy to start, so will see, I will get back on here tomorrow or Sunday evening and post some results. Yes it is supposed to run, is going to show me how to start it and let me drive it tomorrow,, 3 hr trip both ways so will see what happens.
thanks to all
Greg

All 10-20s are hand start. Not that difficult to do. I cranked a W-30 and a 10-20 many times as a young man helping Dad on the farm.

just get her up to a compression stroke and give her a quick snap. Make sure the crank has plenty of lube where it connects. Keep your thumb on top of the crank. They are bullet-proof. You Tube has a great video of an old guy starting one.
