I Have an early 60s case with a 188d diesel, so my question is can you still get the original style two bolt injectors. or can you find used ones I'm out of Ideas :(

I have not tried lately, but tips may still be available if the holders are good. Maybe what you have could be repaired. I might have some core injectors, will have to
look.

hat would be great...I have one that cant be repaired

Which model of 60s Case do you have? Are these pencil injectors or the more squat injectors that have replaceable injector nozzles? Some of these look like Dexta injectors and could possibly used with the correct nozzles.

I have between a 60 and 62 case 430 triple drive diesel....starts up right away, runs great...then it starts to miss and smoke and then just shuts down...got me stumped

replaced everything from the tank to the injection pump with 3/8 line new fuel filter and housing and a new sediment bowl...I bought the injection pump off here, seems to work fine...just the symptoms i have never seen on a diesel.

Try taking loose the two screw timing cover on the pump side next time engine starts smoking/slowing down. If engine runs fine WITH the fuel leak, but dies with the cover
tight there's a restriction in the RETURN side back to the tank. A plugged/restricted return line WILL upset the injection pump delivery and advance curve, and can cause
engine shut down. If you wait five minutes, and engine starts/dies again it's definitely a return side problem.
The line is usually plugged with broken retainer bits from the pump that was removed. This is assuming delivery to the pump is OK..

I should also have said make sure the air filter is clean and the oil bath level not too high if it has an oil bath cleaner.

I will defiantly check that....thinking the injectors are wonky and start sticking and flood it out...it will start back up immediately

Thanks everyone for the help, turns out it was a blockage in the return line...runs like a champ now :) and as bonus I learned a lot about my injectors and how to service them :)
