Duetz Allis 5220

I have a Duetz Allis 5220 with a loader. The Engine runs great. the Loader and 3 pt work as they should, but the tractor does not move. It will not go forward or backwards. The PTO does not work. I pulled the tractor out of the garage this past winter to move some snow. Got off tractor while running for a few minutes. When I got back on it would not move. We pushed it back into the garage and left it. I since then have changed the Trans oil and both filters. It still does not move. Any ideas on how to fix? I'm not opposed to selling for parts and buying a different tractor. It also has a belly mower.

syncro transmission Might be clutch Does clutch pedal push feel different than
before? How long did tractor set before you had problems ? Does tansmission feel like
it is going into gear? Any movement at all? does engine sound different when clutch
is left out?

Yes, it has a clutch but is HST. It sat idling for about 5-10 minutes and then nothing. There is no difference in the engine sound when I push the clutch in or let it out. No, it has no movement at all. There is a trans selection lever to go from low, mid, high range.
I've tried all 3 ranges and no difference in the tractor. There is a separate hyd pump for the loader and 3 point.

Okay just to clarify for others because I cannot answer directly for that model, when you say an ..HST.. transmission that
is short for hydrostatic drive? Only reason I asked is that I watched a couple videos about that model one was an add
video for the model when it was new. It did not say anything about a hydrostatic drive option. The 5220 they showed in
the Deutz video and one that someone was selling were both gear drive. Just want to make sure what you are talking
about by saying HST. It would seem unlikely to me that the PTO would be disconnected if the tow lever was activated if it
is a hydro. Generally a tow lever disconnects the driven parts after the hydro transmission. In other words lets the rear
wheels turn without turning the hydro drive. As hog hollow asked does the clutch pedal feel different then before? Is there
any type of inspection plate to take off to look in where the clutch is to see what the problem may be?

It is a hydostatic drive. Not Gears.
I have not found a tow lever. There are Neutral positions in between the Low, Mid, High gears. Clutch pedal seems to be the same.
I have not found a way to look at clutch without splitting the tractor.

I would suggest you do a web search for a repair manual
for you tractor, making sure the manual covers the
hydrostatic drive model. To me it sounds like something
failed in the clutch or connection between the engine and
drive train. Does the clutch pedal move linkage that
operates a lever on the side of the bell housing to operate
a clutch as would be in a normal configuration?

The tractor probably does not have a traditional clutch, but a "dump valve" that releases the hydraulic pressure to the drive system. The engine typically drives a pump through a flex plate or a torque limiter.
