How to be a good neighbor

A friend on here has a problem. I have
the parts he needs. I call and tell him.
We work out a deal, no money involved,
and parts are sent. It's so easy to be
nice.....

I too was a good neighbor yesterday. Neighbor bought a new belt for his lawnmower. Couldn't figure out why it didn't work. He bought a drive belt instead of a deck belt.

Good job on helping them out. When I was younger it help as much as I could for alot of the older people. Now Im finding that I'm getting help at times from some good people out there.

Glad you were able to help, but sometimes those neighbors take advantage of you! Ive met several people here over the years, some I need to! Had one guy on here who I thought was a friend. Cut him a deal on some parts. He still owes me for those parts, and that was 12 years ago. Claims he never got them, even when presented the tracking number, and proof of delivery with his signature on the receipt. Its not about the money, its about the loss of trust. I suspect he got my parts, and sold them to someone else for more than he was suppose to pay me for them. And yes, he still posts pretty regularly.

I have not been able to get the impulse part off the mag so guess you will have to figure it out. Thought I was going to get it off but the puller I found would not hold well enough.

I have a good arrangement with my older neighbor across the street. She is 75+ years old and makes a few bucks cutting lawns for people in town.
I keep her Cub Cadet in good running order (and her push mower). She pays for parts and I do the labor in exchange for her doing our lawn (about 2 acres) and watering the flowers whenever we take a notion to do a motorhome trip. This might happen a couple of times a year. like I said this is a good arrangement.
