(quoted from post at 07:30:48 04/05/21) Old trucks (and cars) are so classy. I like that they kept one rust-ic. :)

SweetFeet, a friend is fixing up an old TT truck like the one that looks original. He'll only put a cab on it if he can find distressed wood like from an old barn or something. Those trucks were sold with the motor and chassis, enough to make it go, and then cabs were added afterwards by anyone who wanted to make one.

I think a lot of the restorations were done by the museum itself. They have a huge complex of buildings and shops and apparently the money and resources to make it all happen. They definitely aren't getting much back from the small ten dollar entrance fee. It's great that someone's passion is on display for the public and they don't charge much. Really nice exhibits, I'll probably go back one day when I have more time. Trucks were my favorite part :)

3 neighbors had trucks with 3408's in them. I never got to drive one but they all loved them. said get them in high gear and drive them just like a car, Mash and go!! One local trucker built an Emeryville and
put a 3408 in it.
